Maximize-Your-Value-Trade-In-Fitness-Equipment-for-Instant-Rewards

It's Christmas season!

If you are anything like most fitness fanatics or gym rats, this is a really exciting time of the year - and not just because of all the extra cookies and pies lying around. No, you are excited about all the new toys you are getting. Now, we aren't talking about GI Joes, Nintendo Switches, or even that new motorcycle you were really hoping for.

No, you are excited about your new barbell, your new adjustable dumbbells, your new bumper plates, or even your new fitness tracker.

Christmas is a season of giving and gifts, and what is better than the gift that keeps on giving all year round - exercise equipment?

Now, if you are still reading this article, congrats.

You are one of the "weird ones". You drink protein shakes, lift heavy weights, and ditch the sweets (well, okay most of the time, no judgment over here). You are weird because it takes a special person to get excited about exercise equipment. Trust us, we are the same way. I recently got married and one of the gifts I was most excited about was a set of adjustable dumbells.

So whether you are planning to receive dumbbells, weight plates, a barbell, or even a treadmill, you have got to make room for your equipment. For many people this is easy. You have a garage gym just begging to be filled. That barbell is the missing piece of your sweet setup. Or the treadmill will fit perfectly in the guest room with no problems.

For some though, this Christmas you are excited for an UPGRADE.

Upgrades are incredible. Who doesn't love a new car, new home, or especially a new set of bumper plates? The next question though, is what do you do with the previous equipment? It's still nice, functional, and plenty capable of building muscle, endurance, or helping you achieve whatever goal lies ahead, but it no longer is needed.

What To Do With Used Exercise Equipment?

Okay, you've got a few options.

#1 Facebook Marketplace

This is a common one these days. It's crazy to see the rise of Marketplace as it has all but wiped out Craiglist. Anyways, Marketplace is a good place to list used exercise equipment. You can list it, message about it, and sell it. Well, hopefully, it is that simple.

Marketplace would be great, if it wasn't for, oh I don't know - scammers, no-shows, and low-ballers. That's my biggest complaint when selling on Marketplace. You just have no idea who you are dealing with. I've tried to sell some household items recently and have dealt with all three. It's just a part of the deal when listing on Marketplace.

#2 Donate It

I mean who can be mad at this one, except maybe your wife who was expecting a little extra Christmas spending money?

But in all honesty, donating used gym equipment is a good idea as well. You can check with Goodwill, Salvation Army, or even a local high school or middle school.

Schools are often in real need of gym equipment (whether new equipment, used equipment, or even an entire gym), but have a hard time with funding and affording quality equipment. Now, should it be a higher priority in the school budget - absolutely. Do they have the money somewhere to help kids learn great habits in the weight room - I believe so. Anyway, not today's point, but if you are willing to donate, consider reaching out to your local middle or high school.

#3 Freedom Fitness Equipment

Now, we may be a little bit biased, but we think this is the best option.

Well, maybe besides donating it - because it's for the kids - who can be against the kids?!

But in all seriousness, at Freedom Fitness Equipment we buy used exercise equipment and accept trade-ins on used gear. So ditch the lowballs, no-shows, and scams, and get a real quote for your real equipment and get real cash or trade-in value.

So, What Will We Buy?

Generally, we are looking for commercial gym equipment and stay away from anything non-commercial (so we avoid brands like - NordicTrack, Proform, Gold's Gym, Marcy, Sole, etc.)

But, we will take a look at whatever you have - whether it is dumbbells, weight plates, power racks, cardio machines, barbells, kettlebells, and really anything else.

Now, I mentioned trade-in value, so maybe you are checking out this article and you got a new dress shirt for Christmas. Everyone's dream, am I right? I mean what could be better than a matching tie - I sincerely hope you got that too.

But, the problem here is that you were really hoping for a new barbell. You recently got into Olympic weightlifting, and your powerlifting barbell spins about as well as an offensive lineman trying to juke out a linebacker. Well, obviously that bar was never made for that task, so consider trading it in. You get the hassle-free experience of selling your old barbell and can start lifting like Lasha Talakhadze in no time.

If you haven't heard of him, google him. It will blow your mind - the guy snatched 496 pounds. Most people will never come close to deadlifting that. Anyway, let's get back on track here.

Even, if you were the lucky one who got the barbell from Santa, you still can trade in your old one. What's a garage gym without rubber flooring? I'll tell you - an accident waiting to happen.

So How Does The Selling Or Trade-In Process Work?

First, consider what you want to sell. Remember, we generally only buy commercial-grade gym equipment, but if you aren't sure it never hurts to reach out.

Next, contact us, send us your name, best contact method, and click "sell used gym equipment". After that list all items you are looking to sell in the comment box.

Please give us as much information as possible - brand, model, condition, etc.

Please let us know whether you are looking to sell, get trade-in value, or are interested in both. Don't worry about pictures just yet - we will reach out to discuss pictures as we move forward.

Once you fill out the form, expect a response shortly, our team will look it over and see what further information we need from you.

And that's it. The ball is rolling.

As we get more information, we can determine things like shipping, pickup, and delivery, depending on location.

Be sure to check out our dumbbells, barbells, exercise bikes, and much more if you are considering going the trade-in route.

This is the best way to maximize the value of your gym equipment.

Not only will you be getting the most out of your trade-in, but you will also be getting credit towards quality, vetted gym equipment. And if you are worried about inventory - well don't be. We have almost every piece of gym equipment you can think of - from hack squat machines to open trap bars for deadlifts to rowers and even weight plates that look like sushi. Yes, you read that right, sushi. Nothing better than some Spicy Tuna rolls and ab rollouts. Okay, maybe not the best combo for your stomach, but it's still pretty sweet.

Feel free to reach out with any questions. We are happy to help you navigate selling or trading in your used gym equipment. That's what our team is here for from outfitting entire fitness facilities to helping you build the garage gym space of your dreams.
